If you were planning to go the U.S. for tourism, don’t. If you wanted to go for studying, don’t. If you have to go because of work, don’t,
It’s obviously easier to say this than do. Many can’t afford to just not go, as they are demanded by work or have already paid a fortune for a plane ticket, but if you value your life, don’t travel to the U.S. for the next ~5 years.
And I’ll tell you why.
Legal Immigrantes Disappeared by ICE
Legal migrants are being disappeared by ICE ages in the middle of the streets.
They come in, disguised as police or civilians, with masks on their faces. They swarm a person and take them away. Those people disappear for DAYS, with family members, friends, work, etc not knowing where they are.
And you can’t even argue it’s “only illegal immigrants”. There have been several cases of legal immigrants, tourists, etc being arrested, with documents in hand.
Many have been deported to El Salvador, where some have disappeared completely. But others are sent somewhere else.
Future Labor Camps
Labor Camps. Just like in world war 2 where jews were sent to concentration camps to do slave work for the nazi’s, Trump is planning to use immigrants to basically do the same. They will be locked in facilities with horrible living conditions and only allowed out to work.
Not for money, not for citizenship, but for “other things”. Who knows what other things are.
Businessman, Scientists and Students are targets
If you think businessman and people who came to the U.S. to study are safe, think again. More than once, those two have been targets of ICE.
OPB recently reported a business owner from Newberg, Oregon, arrested on his way to work. Moises Sotelo was the owner of “Novo Start Vineyard Service”, a company that provides pruning, pest control and harvesting services to vineyards in the Willamette Valley.
Nobody knows where he is.
This follows multiple reports earlier this year of University students being deported from or not even allowed to enter the United States.
A few months ago, a french scientist was denied entrance to the U.S. due to having “expressed criticism of the Trump administration”, according to the French Research Minister.
“I learned with concern that a French researcher who was traveling to a conference near Houston was denied entry to the United States before being expelled,[…]This measure was apparently taken by the American authorities because the researcher’s phone contained exchanges with colleagues and friends in which he expressed a personal opinion on the Trump administration’s research policy,”
And this has become the norm. EVERY PERSON who enters the U.S. now has their phones checked.
It gets worse from here
If you expect things to get better in the comming months, don’t.
Recently approved, the “Big Beautiful Bill” gave 170 BILLION dollars to ICE, to further increase the amount and size of their opperations.
“The Senate-passed bill would appropriate $45bn to build and operate new immigration detention centers – including facilities for families – marking a 265% increase over Ice’s current detention budget and enabling the detention of at least 116,000 non-citizens daily, according to an analysis by theAIC”

So, if you were planning to travel to the U.S. in the next ~5 years? Don’t. It doesn’t matter if its for work, tourism of studying, your life is worth more than risking that trip.
