Eurofurence 29 and Miniatur Wunderland

Another year another con! I’m trying to see if I can go to at least one per year to meet up with friends, hangout, see and buy things!

This year, like the last, I went to Eurofurence, in Hamburg! And just like last year, it was a blast!

Eurofurence 29

Eurofurence is the largest furry convention in Europe and ranks among the world’s biggest. Inside, there was plenty to do like meetup spaces, panels on varied topics, parties, game shows, and concerts.

There were open music stages and a VR portal for meeting people in VRChat. A dealers’ den let attendees buy merch, view artwork, or try games from partner developers. Other highlights included a puppet show, a bar, and more.

The amount of furries, events and partying was insane! The event had a whole extra floor at the CCH for things to allow for live concerts, bigger game shows(the e621 game show had twice as many people as last year) and the awesome openning and closing ceremonies!

But when the furries least expected, the dinosaurs attacked!

A friend of mine called “Epic Beard” bought about 40 inflatable dinosaur suits, gave to a bunch of friends and we all walked down the stairs of CCH to have fun outside.

Miniatur Wunderland

Before eurofurence however, I went with my friend group to a place called “miniatur wunderland”. It is a kind of “museum”, displaying miniature versions of places around the whole world. It has many moving parts, tides on certain water areas, a day and night system and even a VR experience(which I sadly didn’t get to record). Highly recommend going there! Absolutely awesome, and just 45 euros for Museum + VR experience!

This time around I didn’t come across the same kind of issue as last time, when I thought I was going to get stabbed in the red light district at night, which is definitely nice. As a bonus, the airbnb me and my friend stayed at was not only very cozy but situated very close to both a McDonalds and pharmacy(which I ended up needing for some allergies). Even better, there was a sex shop right there too!(no I didn’t go there lol)

Overall, awesome trip!
