Was thinking about making this into a blog post, but its easier to make a small forum post.
IX.br, the world’s largest Internet Exchange Point, from Brazil, just broke last year’s all time high bandwidth record: It reached over 45 Terabits/s

This is almost double of second place‘s “DE-CIX” peak of about 26 Tb/s recently.
For perspective of just how insane this number is: Steam, a platform we all know for buying and downloading Games, DLCs, custom stuff, etc peak GLOBAL traffic never goes past 35 Tb/s and it requires weekly downtime maintenance to function, while ix.br has yet to be reported being taken down.
