I’m happy to announce there’s been a small number of significant upgrades to the website as a whole.

First: Finally properly set cloudflare without certificate issues(had to get in contact with my host and get their help as part of the process could only be done by them). This means:

    • Caching of pages and files locally(lots more speed for loading/downloading, anywhere in the world)
    • Better DDoS and bot protection(although my host already offers protection for the first)
    • Brotli compression(Slightly better than gzip from before)

Second: Varnish Cache for static files(Images, Videos, text and I believe zip files). The back-end can now handle a lot more requests with it + cloudflare

Third: Many back-end scripts were updated. Overall page loading speeds and rendering should be faster.

Ever since this update, 38% of all requests hit Cloudflare‘s cache instead of the website’s servers, reducing bandwidth usage in 27%.

Page loading speed, derived from script updates, improved by about 10% for users near the server(in Brazil) and about 50%+ to users far away. Total Blocking Time also is now under 70ms on all benchmarks.
