Discord is not only going public(which has never made any company better) but also hired an EX BLIZZARD CFO as their new CEO.
In their blog post one of the things they talk about is how they, last year, have changed and “began pursuing opportunities beyond its core consumer subscription service, including advertising, micro-transactions”.
This is guaranteed the end of discord. The app will be filled with ads, microtransactions and continuously lose quality until its unuseable. If you got any alternatives you’d like to list, I’m all ears.
