Two days ago I came across cloud cloudflare’s new tool for blocking A.I. related crawlers that steal web content to train bots. It apparently is designed to block ones like chatGPT’s, Google’s geminy and bytedance’s(tiktok creators) whatever.
I immediately enabled it.
The reason for this is that those bots not only steal content(all of them) but tend to do so at such fast rate it affects the server, slowing down things for everyone who’s trying to open a page.
Looking at the dashboard today, I already saw bytedance’s bot being blocked, and testing both gemini and chatgpt to see if they could access showed me that they in fact can’t. I’m pretty satisfied with the results so far.
