Today, American President Donald Trump announced that the United States had seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, which is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to escalate pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Trump highlighted the magnitude of the operation by stating that the tanker was the largest ever seized by the U.S.
The action is part of a broader strategy to cause regime change in Venezuela, in order to steal the country’s oil for as long as possible. The actions are identical to those used in the IRAQ war “on terror”.
