Every year, Brazil publishes a public research looking into data on criminality throughout the country. Named “Anuário Brasileiro de Segurança Pública“(Brazilian Anual of public safety), it shows average number of murders per state(and country average), overall robberies, cargo/phone/vehicle/residential robbery, etc as a way for brazilian authorities to understand where things are worse and how to better improve things.
The good news is: In the last decade, the trend has been incredible improvement. Intentional violent deaths(murder) went down about ~30%, robberies overall down by over 50%. Reductions happened both in average and total value.
