This is my personal corner on the internet. I despise Ads and, to be entirely fair, this little project does not require too much money from me(just $120/year for hosting, $24/year for domain and $2/month for my node.js servers), so I plan on never adding any sort of ad/banner/annoying video to any page.
All that said, things aren’t free and prices do go up over time, so if you do wish to help I’m a Humble Bundle Partner!
What is Humble Bundle?
Humble Bundle is an online game store that, besides offering great prices, discounts and a huge variety of games, softwares and e-books, gives part of their earnings to charity. Customers can choose how much of what they pay goes to the developer, how much goes to charity and, in case you’re buying from a partner like me, how much goes for me. Every 2 to 3 weeks, new bundles pop up!
With their system, your “donations” don’t cost you much, give you a game, useful program or interesting book, and help both me with my projects and a charity of my choosing. Currently, anything bought through my link helps the Wikimedia Foundation(owners of Wikipedia) but if you have any suggestions of charity, feel free to e-mail me and I’ll look into changing!
Why Humble Bundle?
Contrary to pratically any other service, with humble bundle you get something, I get something, charity gets something and even the website and creator of whatever you buy can get a cut. It’s a win-win-win-win.
Most places will ask for a small donation with no compensation, force Ads down your throat or offer some subscription system with a few benefits but honestly who can afford yet another subscription service nowadays?I prefer to keep everything in this website free and, in case you wanna help me, you also get something useful in return!
